GenBarcode implements standard barcode encoding algorithms (Code 128 per ISO/IEC 15417, UPC-A per GS1 General Specifications, EAN-13 per GS1). However, we do not guarantee that all generated barcodes will scan correctly in all environments. Test your barcodes before printing production quantities.
Generating a UPC or EAN barcode on GenBarcode does NOT register your product with GS1 or assign you a company prefix. You must obtain a GS1 Company Prefix to create valid retail barcodes for your products. GenBarcode provides the encoding tool; the business relationship with GS1 is your responsibility.
GenBarcode and its creator are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service, including but not limited to misprinted labels, scanning failures, or rejected product listings.
